Zadania

• As a naval designer you assist the project engineer in the concept and basic design phase of various projects from new builds to modifications of existing ships. Besides working on your own drawings and calculations you’ll also deliver input and check up on subcontractor’s work. On a day to day basis you’ll work on:
• Designing and drawing general arrangements (rigging, hoisting, safety, navigation plans and arrangements)
• Calculating and designing general steel constructions and deck equipment
• Preparing system diagrams and layouts
• Preparing technical specifications and reports
• Naval calculations (longitudinal, strength, scantlings, hull construction, stability and trim)

Wymagania

• A degree in Marine engineering/Naval architecture or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience for the Jr. position and a minimum of 8 years for the Sr. position
• Affinity with structural engineering
• Knowledge of class rules and societies
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D
• Good English communication skills, both spoken and written
